In September IDW Publishing is taking advantage of a 5-Wednesday month to release Andy Schmidt’s 5 Days to Die miniseries on a weekly basis, which means that the entire 5-issue noir crime drama will be released in the same month.  Each issue of the high concept crime series that should appeal to fans of great cop movies like Die Hard or Bullet chronicles a day in the life of tough cop Ray Crisara, who finds he has but five days left to live after he survives a terrible car accident engineered by the city’s top drug lord.

Andy Schmidt has created and written the series, with Chee providing the interior art.  Each issue of the 32-page full color comic, which has a cover price of $3.99, features a cover from a top-tier artist with David Finch doing the honors on #1, Michael Avon Oeming on #2, Ben Templesmith on #3, Gabriele Dell’Otto on #4, and Pablo Raimondo on #5.
