Disney has acquired the upcoming Radical graphic novel Oblivion created by Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski.  Kosinski will direct the science fiction saga about a future world in which mankind lives above the clouds and scavengers search the surface for artifacts to collect. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kosinski’s relationship with Disney studio head Sean Bailey helped facilitate the deal, “which is in the seven figures and said to be one of the largest rights deals of the year.”

Radical plans to publish a hardcover edition of Oblivion in November.
