ICv2 caught up with Christophe Arnoult, Executive Manager of Asmodee, at Gen Con, where he was showing the company’s launches and expansions for the rest of the year.  The new games are Mr. Jack Pocket, 7 Wonders, and Tadaaam!  Expansions for Dice Town, Formula De and Cyclades are also expected in the last quarter.

Based on the Mr. Jack boardgame, Mr. Jack Pocket is a pocket sized deduction game for two players.  One player assumes the role of inspector, trying to catch Jack the Ripper, who is played by his opponent.  Both players control Holmes, Watson, and the police dog with the investigator trying to identify the killer before he can escape.  Designed by Bruno Cathala and Ludovic Maublanc.  The suggested retail price has not been set.

Scheduled for an Essen release, 7 Wonders was designed by Antoine Bauza.  In this civilization building card game, players draft cards hoping to acquire the right combinations that will allow them to construct the great wonders of the ancient world.  The game is expected to release in the US in late October or November and will have a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Tadaaam! is a party game designed by Friedemann Friese, Marcel-Andre Casasola Merkle, and Andrea Meyer.  Players draw cards that show half of a picture, then use dry-erase pens on an erasable board to complete the image.  Once they finish, they must attempt to guess the identity of the other players’ drawings.  A spinner adds extra challenges for advanced players, requiring them to perform stunts while drawing.

New expansions are planned for three of Asmodee’s most popular games.  A new expansion for Formula D featuring Singapore is expected to release in October.  An expansion for Dice Town will be released before the end of the year.  And a new expansion for Cyclades is planned for December.
