IDW has announced an October release for The Outfit, second in its series of Parker crime novels by Richard Stark (Donald Westlake’s best known pseudonym) adapted into a graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke.  The Hunter, the first in the series, won an Eisner Award for Best Adaptation from Another Work. 

The Outfit finds Stark’s ruthless thief Parker once again being hunted by the syndicate known as The Outfit, but he once again proves he’s more than tough enough to take head on the worst organized crime can dish out.

“With The Outfit, Darwyn reaffirms that he is one of the preeminent storytellers working in comics today,” said IDW Special Projects Editor Scott Dunbier, “To me, editing a book like this is the literary equivalent of catching Sandy Koufax for the 1963 Dodgers.”
