Longtime Marvel exec and film producer Avi Arad has joined Production I.G., LLC, the U.S. arm of famed anime studio Production I.G., as Chairperson, according to Animeanime via Anime News Network. 

Arad, who produced Marvel’s early movies X-Men, Spider-Man, and Iron Man, is involved with Dreamworks’ Ghost in the Shell film (see “Ghost in the Shell Movie Closer”).  Production I.G. produced the Ghost in the Shell anime. 

Arad is also working with Production I.G. to create a comic titled Innocent, according to the report.
