Udon Entertainment has announced the October release of Darkstalkers/Red Earth: Malificarum Vol.1, a video game-based manga written and drawn by Itou Mami (ROBOT, Pilgrim Jager) and based on two popular Capcom fighting game franchises.

The standalone volume includes 5 stories from across the horror-filled Darkstalkers universe as well as a four-chapter saga set in the sword and sorcery world of Red Earth.  Among the dynamic combats between Capcom characters included in Malificarum Vol. 1 are a desperate battle between the Wolfman Talbain and the succubus Morrigan, the vampire lord Demitri taking on the devilish Jedah, and the heroic lion-man Leo’s struggle to cure his own cursed body.
