Fred Swayne of Infinity Entertainment in Ottawa, Canada saw that Yu-Gi-Oh! is being held out of the top best-seller spots by lack of inventory (see 'MechWarrior Debuts Strong in August') and added an update on the situation in his store:
I, like most other Pop Culture retailers, am getting a bit fed up with getting no, or next to none, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Supply problems persist. Last week booster boxes were $70.00 CDN, this week $135.00 CDN, if you can get them.
One of our distributors got so few they couldn't supply all their customers so they auctioned off what they had, with proceeds going to the Cancer Society. At the same time 'Dollar Stores' have more than we do. What gives?
