David Luebke of Dave's Comics in Richmond, Virginia read the article announcing Ape Entertainment will publish a new licensed Richie Rich comic book series (see "'Richie Rich' Comics Return") and had this to say.

I just saw the announcement about the new pro-social Richie Rich comic and the first thing that popped into my pea brain was whether or not it was going to be endorsed by the Obama administration or would it be published by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.  Why?  Oh, why do you have to mess with a tried and true comic by making it have a theme?  Can't it just be for the nostalgia and fun of it?
