Warners has released two pieces of concept art from the Green Lantern movie (to MTV’s Splash Page), both of the planet Oa. 

 

The Guardian’s city on Oa is the subject of this stunner, displaying a green burst of light coming from the center.


 

 

And here we have the Crypts of Oa, where fallen Green Lanterns are remembered.


 


A previous image showed the costume (see “First Look at Green Lantern’s CGI Togs”). 

 

The film has completed shooting in 3D and will be released on June 17, 2011 (see “Green Lantern Movie in 3-D”).  It will get the full merchandising treatment, including a major toy line (see “Mattel Plans Green Lantern Toy Blitz”).  It will be followed up with an animated series on Cartoon Network launching next fall (see “Green Lantern Toon”).
