Syfy has canceled Battlestar Galactica spinoff Caprica before the end of its first season, according to Variety.  Syfy has aired four shows from the back half of its first season (see “Caprica Returning  in October”); the remaining five will be aired in Q1 of 2011.

Syfy has ordered a pilot for a new series with more action, Battlestar Galactica:  Blood & Chrome (see “New ‘Galactica’ Pilot Greenlit”).
