Ilan Strasser of Fat Moose Comics and Games in Whippany, New Jersey read the recent article announcing two new Ray Bradbury official adaptations (see "Two New Ray Bradbury Graphic Novels") and had this to say.

When I first saw the article about the Ray Bradbury adaptations, I was truly excited.  After reading it a second time, my enthusiasm waned a little bit.  First of all, I don't like the 6" by 9" format at all.  I know many of my customers feel the same way.  I really feel the stories would be better served in standard comic size format.  Secondly, I am sure Hill and Wang have thought through their pricing structure extensively, given that the pricing difference for the two books is proportionately appropriate given the differing page counts.  However, Something Wicked This Way Comes is in black and white while The Martian Chronicles is in color.  Taking that into account, I think the price on the black and white adaptation should be $3-4 cheaper in the trade paperback editions.  Speaking only for myself, if the solicitations stay as they are, outside of special orders, I will only be ordering The Martian Chronicles.
