In the second quarter of this year, NG International (Nexus) will release their second children’s game: Micro Monsters, promising dexterity-based fun for kids and families.
Micro Monsters is a simplified version of another Nexus title, Micro Mutants. In this version tiny monsters compete for control of the table using a familiar "tiddleywink" style system. The "monsters" are plastic chips that players flick around the playing area, hoping to match the symbols rolled on the special dice.
The game is designed to be easy to learn and play quickly. It features kid-friendly cartoon graphics. The suggested retail price will be $19.90.
While not known for children’s games, NG International is not completely new to the category. Their first children’s game, RattleSnake, was included on the "Recommended List" for the German "Kinderspiel des Jahres" award in 2008.
NG International has only recently begun selling direct into the American market. For more details, see "Nexus Games Enters U.S."
