Adrianne Palicki, who starred as Tyra Collete in Friday Night Lights, will play Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the new NBC series being developed by David E. Kelley. Jeffrey Reiner (see “Jeffrey Reiner to Direct Wonder Woman Pilot”) will helm the pilot from a script by Kelley.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kelley’s conception of the Diana Prince character is that of a modern woman who is trying to balance her life as a successful corporate executive, and a crime-fighting vigilante.

Though she occasionally appears as a brunette (the traditional hair color for Wonder Woman is always dark), Palicki was a blonde for her role on Friday Night Lights.
