Upper Deck VP Marketing Jason Masherah said on the company’s blog that it will launch the long delayed Marvel Superstars TCG (see “Marvel Superstars TCG Pushed Back”) in 2011. Masherah said that the company’s original release schedule had the company “spend time and money promoting a product that’s just not ready.” 

 

Masherah did not reveal any organized play plans, but said that “it is a critical component of the success of a TCG; it’s one aspect of the business we will not neglect.”

 

Masherah also said that the company had no plans to bring back or sell its Versus system (which it used for Marvel and DC cards a few years back).
