This July Kotobukiya is releasing the next figure in its Marvel Bishojo Collection, the 1/7th scale Jean Grey Bishojo Statue ($59.99). The 8.5-inch tall figure of Jean Grey/Phoenix is based on the original look of Jean Grey from X-Men Vol.2 #1. Bishojo (pretty girl) specialist Shunya Yamashita has taken the original 1960s Jean Grey character design and with his bishojo magic created this dynamic statue.

The figure of Jean Grey hovers in the air in a terrific flying pose. Her skintight uniform reflects the Jim Lee character design from the 1990s, while her resplendent red hair utilizes translucent materials. In addition the figure comes with cool detachable “Psychic Force” effects parts. Mention should also be made of the figure’s georama base—a massive smoke cloud from which bursts the X-Jet and three missiles.

Also based on a character design from bishojo maven Shunya Yamashita is the Ghostbusters Lucy Bishojo Statue, which is due in August. Ghostbuster-in-training Lucy stands nearly 9.5 inches tall and comes with all the necessary accessories including Egon Spengler’s proprietary Proton Pack and Ecto Goggles.

She stands on a specially-designed base complete with a manhole cover adorned with the Ghostbusters logo. With her delicate bishojo features, Lucy is someone you would want to call, even if you weren’t being attacked from the supernatural plane.
