The Steam Map Expansion #1 will introduce all-new locations for the classic Martin Wallace game. Three new maps are printed on the double-sided game board, offering new challenges and strategic options for players. Mayfair Games plans to release the new expansion this summer.

 

The front of the board features two different maps. The “Belgium & Luxembourg” map is designed for two player games, and the “Brussels Metro” map is intended for three players. The reverse side of the board offers the mountain-rich “Mid-Atlantic US” map, which is suitable for games of three to seven players. An additional sheet of Steam tiles is also included in the expansion. Region-specific rules are included for each of the three maps.

 

The Steam Map Expansion #1 requires a copy of Martin Wallace’s Steam in order to play. The suggested retail price will be $24.00. It was designed by Morgan Dontanville and features artwork by Jared Blando and John Austin.

 

This is the second expansion for Steam. The first expansion, Steam Barons, was released in November 2010.
