Fantasy Flight Games has announced two additional stand-alone game releases for August (the company previously announced Adventurers, see "The Adventurers: The Pyramid of Horus").  One is another revised edition of a Dust game acquired from AEG (see "Dust Games to FFG"). The second is a TDmonthly award winning game originally published by Mayfair Games (see "Hey! That's My Fish! Deluxe! Wins 'TDmonthly' Award").

Arcana Revised Edition

Originally released in 2009 by designer Damien Desnous, Arcana is a stand-alone card game of political intrigue, military might, and warring guilds for 2-4 players. Set in the vibrant fantasy city of Cadwallon, players set out to make their guild the most influential in Cadwallon through subterfuge and strategic card play. By secretly bidding on Stake cards and corrupting personalities into joining their cause, players can strengthen and customize their guild decks. Whoever earns the most victory points wins.

 

The revised edition of Arcana introduces two new guilds and six new rule variants that will enhance the game play experience. Arcana plays in around sixty minutes and will retail for $34.95.

 

Hey, That’s My Fish!, an award-winning board game originally published by Mayfair Games, is being reissued by Fantasy Flight with enhanced new artwork and 16 newly sculpted, colorful and animated penguin miniatures. In this light, family friendly game, two to four players want to catch as many fish as possible with their penguins.  By moving their penguins strategically, players capture fish and can create gaps that block other players’ movement. The player who collects the most fish wins. Easy to learn, this exciting board game plays in around 20 minutes for players of any experience level, from casual to competitive gamer ages 10 and up. Suggested retail is $11.95.
