Marvel has announced that it's hiring Michael Doran of Newsarama as Marketing Communications Director, effective November 14th.  In addition to public relations, Doran will also handle the Marvel section in Diamond Previews.  Doran replaces Bill Rosemann, who's relocating and planning to devote himself to other forms of writing.  Joey Zerbo, who was originally hired to replace Rosemann, moved on after only a couple of weeks.  

Doran' and Matt Brady's Newsarama.com has been the leading consumer news site on comics for a number of years.  Over that time It has been associated with a number of other sites, including Steve Milo's AnotherUniverse.com, Rick Veitch's Comicon.com (where it was replaced by Heidi McDonald's The Pulse), and beginning earlier this year to View Askew, where it's part of Kevin Smith's family of sites.
