Ralph DiBernardo of Jetpack Comics LLC in Rochester, New Hampshire writes in to ask his fellow retailers to join #comicmarket on Twitter and discuss important industry issues.

#comicmarket Tuesday!  Retailers, pose the questions to @DC_Nation that you won't get to ask them in person.

Many retailers are concerned that the "DC Explanation Tour 2011" has too few stops to satisfy all of us.  It's a big change, happening very quickly, being met with lots of uncertainty.  Happening even quicker is the "DC Explanation Tour 2011."  With many prime comic book retail regions being left out, and only a few weeks to make proper plans many of us just won't be able to attend.  (For example, The New England Comic Retailer Alliance is having its first NECRA creator tour the weekend of the New York event so those 5 shops can't make it.  See details below).

This Tuesday, 6/14, all retailers are urged to chime in to the #comicmarket Twitterstorm to share the questions they want to ask DC.

"#comicmarket is the perfect place for everyone to be heard", said Larry Dougherty of Larry's Comics (#comicmarket founder).  "With so many retailers participating in #comicmarket we will prompt important questions that have been over looked.  It is certain that a number of #comicmarket participants will make the DC Tour meetings and ask those questions."

Larry Marder posed some great questions early Sunday morning (search @larrymarder or #comicmarket to review his questions), focusing on the business aspect of the change, as opposed to the fan aspect.

Given the volume of participation on #comicmarket, every Tuesday, many #comicmarket participants will be able take the best questions from the day and ask them at on the DC Tour stops.

To quote Larry Marder from Sunday morning on #comicmarket Twitter, "DC retail tour can't be about content & teams.  Sharp focus on marketing & biz detail needed.  Not Superman's lost panties."

Please be a part of #comicmarket this Tuesday (6/14) and tell The Comic Market all the important questions you have for DC, and then join #comicmarket every Tuesday and help support #comicmarket.

"In fairness, I don't believe the DC Tour was initially planned so they've had to scramble and have done the best they could to include as many retail regions as possible, covering as much ground as they can in a short period of time, while still being a part of the Summer convention circuit.  While I regret that New England is not on the tour I understand that time is working against all of us and many areas could not be visited--just a side note that I think is important, Ralph."

What is #comicmarket Tuesday?

Every Tuesday you'll find a Twitterstorm of retailers, publishers, creators and fans using the #comicmarket hash tag.  #comicmarket is a break through comic industry initiative to engage anyone with any interest in comics in real-time conversation.  An open forum where anyone can discuss anything comic related.  With nearly a few months under our belt every week has grown in the number of posts and contributors.  It's a place to market, ask questions, listen to complaints, and offer solutions.  In a very short amount of time #comicmarket has become a valuable tool for the comic industry.

Founded by Larry's Comics, Jetpack Comics and Avatar Press, #comicmarket is an open forum, unedited, un-moderated type of discussion the industry has needed for years.  Every week you will find useful information and great interaction.  Sometimes heated, often funny and always informative #comicmarket can only help you if you participate.  Chime in with your insights, ask questions and help the #comicmarket grow, to help the comic market grow!
