Mike Boze of HawgHead Comics in Fort Smith, Arkansas attended one of the DC Retailer Roadshow meetings and shares his thoughts.

I spent nearly 10 hours in a car yesterday driving to Dallas for the retailer conference with DC Comics.  I went in with thinking that the meeting was going to center on "this is the way it is and nothing we can do about it."  I left the meeting thinking "I applaud DC for the guts to take this chance."

The industry we all decided to be a part of us is hurting.  If it were a family member in the hospital would we want a doctor who told us that "everything will be okay," or do we want the doctor who wants to begin treatments now and not wait until it is too late?  DC is taking a gamble.  Will it work?  That’s hard to say.  Will it cost customers?  Probably, but will we lose them anyway?  I for one am willing to give this venture my support is all I can or am able to do.
