Comic-Con News—At his panel at Comic Con Roman Dirge announced that Neil Gaiman has agreed to serve as an executive producer on a CGI film adaptation of Dirge’s Lenore, The Cute Little Dead Girl

Dirge’s modern Gothic comic was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “Lenore.”  Some 26 flash animated Lenore shorts were produced for Sony’s ScreenBlast Website in 2002, but the proposed movie would be the first feature-length film featuring Lenore.  From 1998 to 2007 Slave Labor Graphics published Lenore comics.  A new Lenore series, which began in 2009, is being published by Titan Books.  Titan has also published colored versions of the previous Lenore comics, which have been organized into three graphic novel collections (Noogies, Cooties, & Wedgies).
