On Saturday, Comic-Con is at its peak, with both fan and marketing activities at full tilt. Here’s Part 3 of our Saturday Comic-Con photos.

Plastic Man, looking the part.

There were a lot of graphic novels at sale prices on the floor. There may not have been more titles available at discount, but the discounts (as on this table) were high.

The Mixo booth was busy with multiple sellouts when we went by, selling licensed Kookycans--collectible cans containing dioramas that can be assembled.

They’re being introduced.

Posing in fours.

A PotA family (clearly from the classic version, not Rise of the Planet of the Apes, due out this summer, see “Rise of the Planet of the Apes Comic=Con Teaser”).

Darkstalker’s Morrigan appearing at the Toynami booth.

Hanging, at Monster High (in the Mattel booth).

The offsite scene in the Gaslamp District, across the street from the Convention Center, is getting even crazier, if possible, with attempts to attract attention escalating. We were out in a taxi one evening and passed an ice cream truck tricked out with Adult Swim branding, with the hostess leaning out the window screaming, “Free ice cream!” Here we see the Sprint Gaming Lounge (also sponsored by IGN).

The Total Recall installation, with car and models, where Green Hornet was last year.

We’re not saying that every square inch of downtown San Diego is being used for promotion, but this sign is under the stairs in the Hard Rock Hotel.

The Marriott was wrapped with Immortals; the Hilton with Cowboys and Aliens.
