Marvel has released a teaser image for New Avengers #18 featuring an Uncle Sam-like image of Norman Osborn posed in front of three silhouetted figures under the caption “Who are the new Dark Avengers?”  Well it’s pretty obvious that the big one is the Hulk’s son Skaar, while the figure on the right has a bow, which could denote the “Hawkeye” identity assumed by the late unlamented Bullseye who supposedly met his “demise” in Shadowland #1.  But who is figure #3?

 

Brian Michael Bendis, who penned the original Dark Avengers saga in Dark Reign, is writing New Avengers #18, which heralds the return of Norman Osborn (aka The Iron Patriot) and his super team that it appears will once again include members who are supervillains disguised as superheroes.  Mike Deodato, who provided the art for the original Dark Avengers series is doing both the cover and interior art on New Avengers #18, which is due out in November.
