BOOM! Studios is getting politically-involved in a uniquely non-partisan way with a series of biographical comic books about the leading candidates for President from the two major political parties.  The comics will be released in November and will function as a sort of comic book straw poll, providing an indication, at least among comic book fans, of who is the most popular candidate for President.

 

With President Obama seeking reelection on the Democratic side, most of the interest and drama is focused on the horse race in the Republican Party where the BOOM! Studios editors have identified eight announced candidates (Michelle Bachman, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum), along with one unannounced contender, Sarah Palin. 

 

BOOM! Studios promises that Decision 2012 will present a line of nonpartisan educational comic biographies that will inform voters about the candidates’ (including President Obama) biographies and stands on the major issues of the day.
