Fantasy Flight Games has announced the December release of Sid Meier’s Civilization: Fame and Fortune Expansion (MSRP $34.95).  The expansion for the elaborate board game adaptation of the popular computer game from Firaxis introduces four new civilizations (the Arabs, the Greeks, the Spanish, and the Indians), a host of new map tiles, new cards, and components for a fifth player.

 

Among the new cards added by the Fame and Fortune Expansion are a number of “Great Person Cards” that can provide players with the powerful assistance of historical figures such as Marco Polo, Joan of Arc, Gustavus Adolphus and Hannibal.  The Fame and Fortune Expansion also introduces rules for investments, temporary fortifications, caravans, and more.

 

Components in the Fame and Fortune Expansion include eleven map tiles, 150 new cards, 120 markers and tokens, plus a rules booklet that provides engaging new rules options.
