Dynamite Entertainment will launch a new ongoing Army of Darkness comic series in February, written by Elliot Serrano with art by Marat Mychaels.  Covers will be by Mychaels and Tim Seeley.  The storyline puts “The Chosen One,” Ashley J. Williams, with a new character, the woman named “Ash” searching for answers in the pyramids of ancient Egypt in a parallel universe. 

The property is based on the third Evil Dead movie, directed by Sam Raimi.  Its most recent appearance in comics was in the crossover between Ash and Danger Girl, earlier this year (see “Danger Girl and Ash Crossover”).
