Brian Michael Bendis will end his writing runs on Avengers and New Avengers, he told CBR in an interview.  His departure will coincide with the end of the first storyline of “Avengers Assemble.”  By then, Bendis will have written over 200 issues of Avengers books, including all titles, “longer than anybody in the history of the book,” he noted. 

Bendis said of his departure, “[W]hat we have coming up this summer gives me the opportunity to go out on a high note. I know enough about showbiz to know that’s a great time to go.”
