NECA and new company Wrekin Hill have acquired the distribution rights to the documentary Comic-Con Episode IV—A Fan’s Hope, according to Hollywood Reporter. They plan to release the film by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold) next spring in conjunction with a multi-city event tour, showing the film in large theaters and small arenas. 

NECA began moving into the content business about a year ago (see “WizKids Parent Buys Retailer Assets”) by getting involved both in filmed entertainment and in content retailing.
