Longtime comic artist Eduardo Barreto has passed away, at the age of 57.  The Uruguayan Barreto entered the comics field in the 80s and worked primarily for DC, including notable runs on New Teen Titans and Atari Force; and graphic novels including Speeding Bullets, Under a Yellow Sun, and Lex Luthor
Barreto took over the daily strip Judge Parker in 2006, and continued until 2010, when a bout with meningitis forced him to drop it.  He recently did a Captain Action special, and was doing the art for the Sunday The Phantom strips.
