Ares Games has announced that two highly coveted additions to its World War I air combat game, WWI Wings of War, have arrived at Ares’ U.S. warehouse and should begin shipping to retailers from distributors as early as next week (May 7th). The two bomber models feature two of the most intriguing and advanced military aircraft of the first World War, the Italian Caproni Ca.3 and the German Gotha G.V., the latter of which should be familiar to those who have seen Howard Hughes’ original Hell’s Angels movie.
The 1/144th scale pre-painted and assembled models of the WWI aerial behemoths will have a suggested retail price of $34.90. The planes come with a special base with gaming stats, a variable altitude flying stand, and a specific deck of maneuver cards, as well as specific components necessary to use the airplane.
These very cool WWI bombers are an adjunct to Ares’ WWI Wings of Glory game. In order to play with the models it is necessary to have a WW1 Wings of Glory Starter Set (see "'Wings of Glory, WW1'"). These Bomber Special Packs are fully compatible with the former "Wings of War" game system that was released before Ares Games took over the license.
