According to today's Hollywood Reporter, Bill Paxton (Frailty, Twister) is in negotiations to star in the $50 million dollar live-action remake of the Gerry Anderson's stop-motion animated classic TV series, Thunderbirds. Paxton will portray the billionaire former astronaut who leads the Thunderbirds team on their missions to save the planet from the machinations of evildoers like Aristotle Spode. Sophia Miles will play Lady Penelope. Jonathan Frakes (Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation and director of Clockstoppers) will handle the directing chores on the live-action Thunderbirds movie, which is being written by William Osbourne (The Scorpion King). As reported earlier here on ICv2 (see 'Thunderbirds To Start Shooting') filming is set to begin in March in the Seychelles before moving to Pinewood Studios.
