Z-man Games has announced that it will bring the Kuznia Gier game Alcatraz: The Scapegoat to the U.S. market.
Alcatraz: The Scapegoat involves players cooperating and negotiating to help each other to escape from the most notorious prison in the U.S.  The catch is that one of the players must be left behind to be the “scapegoat.”
It’s not as bad as it sounds.  The player that is the scapegoat actually has enhanced powers: more actions per turn, getting to go first, etc.  This makes that player very helpful to the other players.  Each turn players attempt to complete six specific tasks that comprise their plan of escape.  Completing these phases together means escape.  Failure to do so means staying behind for life with the prison guards.  The prison in the game is comprised of prison cards that are randomly generated each game, providing a high level of replay value.
Alcatraz: The Scapegoat is for three to four players ages 15 and up and plays in around 60 minutes.  The game will retail for around $37.
