IDW Publishing will launch a comic adaptation of Peter S. Beagle’s first fantasy novel, A Fine & Private Place, in September. It will be written by Peter Gillis (who also wrote IDW’s adaptation of Beagle’s The Last Unicorn (see "IDW to Adapt 'The Last Unicorn'"), with art by Eduardo Francisco and covers by Jenny Frison.
The novel, first published in 1960, tells the story of an ex-pharmacist who lives in a cemetery in the Bronx, is cared for by a raven, and can talk to ghosts.
