WizKids will release special standalone Marvel and DC HeroClix sets in August to commemorate ten years of superhero HeroClix.  Each set will include 24 all new sculpts with early and modern versions of 12 characters.  The early and modern versions can be played individually or together, joined by the Battlefield Promotion Mechanic.






Marvel HeroClix launched in May 2002, timed to tie into the release of the first Spider-Man movie (see "WizKids Announces Marvel CMG Details").  DC HeroClix followed a few months later in September 2002 (see "WizKids Plans DC HeroClix Launch").
