Chronicle Books has announced the September release of Geek Battle: The Game of Geekdom (MSRP $19.95).  Developed by the gamers at Forest-Pruzan Creative, Geek Battle tests contestants in their knowledge of science fiction, comic books, fantasy, video games, and science with trivia questions that must be answered correctly to advance around the game board to the "Inner Sanctum of Geekdom" where the top contestants square off in a final battle.

 

Geek Battle is a fun, social game, which can be played by up to four contestants, or even better in larger groups, which can be divided into four teams.  Players advance around the board via a D6 die and must answer the type of question that corresponds with the color of the space on which they land.  But look out for wormholes that can send a player (or a team) backwards or forwards.

 

The 10" x 10" Geek Battle game box includes a game board, 125 trivia cards, 50 "Geek Battle Cards," a D12 die, a D6 die, and four player pieces.
