Fantasy Flight Games has slated a Q4 release for Operation Hades, the fifth expansion for the Dust Tactics combat miniatures game. Inspired by the claustrophobic battles between the Russian Army and the invading Nazis that took place in the sewers of the besieged city of Stalingrad (and which the Germans referred to as the "rattenkrieg"), Operation Hades takes the "war of the rats" to entirely new levels thanks to the introduction of the specially-endowed Winter Child superhuman soldier as well as new rules for subterranean urban warfare.
Operation Hades also includes rules for new combat skills and a richly-detailed look at the contested battleground city of Zevrograd. The deluxe game box contains thirty-one additional tiles, a Zevrograd city poster, a map of the Zevrograd subway, six new scenarios, as well as over two dozen objectives to serve as the basis for additional scenarios.
Operation Hades also introduces the first superhuman soldier in the Dust Tactics game. The Winter Child is Colonel Ivan Vasiliev, and he towers above the other soldiers thanks to his powerful combat suit. Operation Hades will be available in two editions. The premium edition will feature pre-painted miniatures, while those who buy the Dust Tactics edition will be able to paint the figures as they see fit.
