Comic-Con News:  Warner Bros. has unveiled the first teaser poster for Zack Snyder’s The Man of Steel, and the striking promo piece shows star Henry Cavill in a pose that is (as Bleeding Cool points out) hugely reminiscent in both pose and lighting of Alex Ross’s cover image for the cover of the Kingdom Come hardcover.

 

The expanded trailer shown at "The Man of Steel" panel clearly wowed the audience that was eager to see that the cinematic fate of the original comic book superhero was in good hands.  Snyder confirmed that he felt his task was to reboot the franchise by acting “as if no film has been made.  When we approached it, we had to say this is Superman for the first time."

 

Principal photography has wrapped on The Man of Steel, which heads into theaters on June 13th, 2013.
