Marvel has revealed the Avengers Triptych created by artist Dustin Weaver.  Weaver’s designs for the covers of the first three issues of the rebooted Avengers series launching as part of Marvel NOW! in December form a seamless illustration of the expanded Avengers lineup.

The new Avengers series will be written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by Jerome Opena. Starting in December Marvel plans to publish two issues a month of the new Avengers series, which appears to be a key part of the Marvel NOW! initiative.

Marvel is planning launch parties in October for the debut of the first Marvel NOW! title The Uncanny Avengers (see "Marvel NOW's 'Uncanny Avengers' Launch Parties").  Compared with DC’s "New 52" Marvel NOW! appears to be a more gradual series of changes that involves the renumbering and rebooting of titles as their creative teams change.  So far it’s not just the creators, but the Marvel heroes too that have been reassigned, and sometimes their costumes have been tweaked as well (see "John Cassaday's Marvel NOW! Redesigns for Rogue, Havok, & The Scarlet Witch").
