Mayfair Games has announced the October 4th release of Urbania (MSRP $35.00), a  board game of urban renewal where players try their hand as urban planners working on the re-development of a run-down city center.  To accomplish the task the planners must hire the best specialists and designers, submit plans and create blueprints.  The planner who manages to get the most impressive buildings constructed and become the most renowned planner wins the game.
 
Urbania was designed by Simone Luciani for 2-5 players, ages ten and up. It takes 45 minutes to play.  The deluxe Urbania box includes one 4-fold, four-color game board, 49 double-sided building tiles, 110 full-color cards, 5 wooden player tokens, 12 wooden game tokens, and a full-color 6-page rules booklet.

Mayfair is offering an Urbania expansion sheet composed of One (1) tile sheet with limited expansions for Atlantis—Icarus; Monuments—Heroes, Traders & Science; Lords of Vegas Skybridge; Nuns on the Run—The Monk; and Giza—Distant Quarry. Retailers who pre-order the game will receive one expansion per copy pre-ordered, plus 1 for the store.
