The lengthy shoot on the new Lone Ranger film is finally wrapping at the end of this month, according to Hollywood Reporter. Numerous problems plagued the big budget production, including wind and dust storms that damaged the sets, an injury to star Johnny Depp from a fall off a horse, and the death of a welder working on the film.
The film started shooting way back in February, after negotiations to get the budget down to $215 million (see "'Lone Ranger' Starts Production").
Johnny Depp’s Tonto costume is adding an “interesting” look to the film (see "Johnny Depp’s Full Tonto Costume Revealed").
The film will open on May 31, 2013. Dynamite Entertainment has the Lone Ranger comic license (see "Preview: 'The Lone Ranger: Snake of Iron' #1").
