The Avengers blew away the competition on the home video charts last week, selling 34 times the #2 title, according to Home Media Magazine.  The Avengers won on both the Blu-ray and DVD charts, with over 72% of unit sales coming from Blu-ray, a record.  The five Marvel precursor films (Thor, Captain America, Iron Man 1 and 2, and Incredible Hulk) were all pulled into the Top 25 on both the DVD and Blu-ray charts by the popularity of Avengers. 

The #2 title on the home video charts was also comic-based: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 (see "Batman-Style Diplomacy in New 'Dark Knight Returns' Clip"), the OAV based on Frank Miller’s comic series.
