NYCC News: DC Comics has announced the creative team that will be taking over Action Comics in 2013 beginning with issue #18.  Andy Diggle (The Losers, Green Arrow: Year One) will take over the writing chores, while Tony Daniel (Detective Comics, Justice League) will provide the interior art.  This will be Diggle’s first opportunity to write for Superman and he is clearly excited about the chance to plot the course of the character he refers to as "THE superhero—the original and the best."

DC also announced today on its The Source blog that Ethan Van Sciver would take over as the interior artist on Batman: The Dark Knight starting with issue #16 in January.  Van Sciver who illustrated The Green Lantern Annual, has a big job ahead of him filling the shoes of David Finch on the gritty Batman: The Dark Knight, but he has a plan that includes resurrecting and revivifying a lesser known villain.  Van Sciver joins writer Gregg Hurwitz, the crime novelist, who came on board with issue #10 and has given the series a nice noir edge.  Starting with issue #16, Batman will square off against the Mad Hatter in the next story arc, and Van Sciver and Hurwitz plan to remake the venerable villain for the 21st Century.
