NYCC News: Fresh off its triumphant debut the new CW series Arrow, which is based on DC Comics’ Green Arrow, brought its "A-Game" to the Big Apple with an exciting reel of character-revealing action set pieces from the new series, which airs Wednesday nights on the CW network at 8pm (ET, PT).

In other Arrow news released in time for Comic Con, IGN provided a first look at Deathstroke, who would appear to be the major menace that Oliver Queen will face in the first phase of his clean-up of Starling City.  Comic fans will certainly enjoy the fact that the TV version of Deathstroke sports the same half-black, half-orange stocking mask that gives the comic book character his chilling edge.

John Barrowman
Interestingly the CW has also released a still showing actor John Barrowman (Torchwood’s Captain Jack) as a character designated only as the “well-dressed” man.  It appears that both the "well-dressed man" and Deathstroke will debut in the fifth episode of the series, "Damaged," which will air in November.  Could Barrowman be playing Deathstroke’s alter ego Slade Wilson?  Perhaps, though the cast list indicates that stuntman Jeffery C. Robinson will be playing Deathstroke, and in the comics Slade Wilson doesn’t appear to be a boardroom type like Barrowman’s "well-dressed man," so we will likely have to wait until November to find out what sort of connections, if any, exist between the characters.
