Universal Pictures has signed indy director Colin Trevorrow to direct 2014 tentpole Jurassic Park 4, according to Deadline.  Trevorrow’s only feature, Safety Not Guaranteed, grossed $4 million. Jurassic Park 3 grossed $181 million back in 2001.  Steven Spielberg is the executive producer. 

The 3D film will be released June 13, 2014. Hasbro will do the toys (see "'Jurassic Park' License").

The first Jurassic Park film is being re-released in theaters in 3D on April 5th.
