Select Japanese merchandise based on Viz properties will now be distributed in North America by Diamond Comic Distributors, under a new agreement between Diamond and Viz Media.  The new agreement will allow products previously licensed only for Japan to be distributed here by Diamond.  The merchandise will include action figures, toys, and collectibles.   

Both Shueisha and Shogakukan properties are involved, including Naruto, Bleach, Tiger & Bunny, Berserk, Death Note, and InuYasha, with more to come. 

Diamond VP-New Business Development John Parker noted the provenance of the merchandise. "From the top entertainment districts of Tokyo’s Akihabara to Harajuku and beyond, the many great licensed products from the top anime and manga brands will now be available for fans to purchase outside of Japan," he said.
