Guinness has certified a World Record for the most players in a trading card game event for Konami’s 100th Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event in Long Beach in March of 2012 (see "'YGO' Championship Series Event Sets Record”).  The 4,364 players easily topped the previous record of 2,137.  Guinness has previously certified Yu-Gi-Oh! as the bestselling trading card game of all time (see "Another Milestone for the 'YGO! TCG'--25 Billion Sold").
