The release of the latest issue of Greater Games Industry made it official: GGI owner and editor Dr. Richard Martin Leep passed away suddenly on March 11th. Martin Leep was the prime mover of the publication, a quarterly reference listing 42,000 game products from over 700 publishers, listing all hobby game products currently available in the U.S. He acquired the publication, then the Games Quarterly Catalog, from Matthew Simmons Marketing in 2007.
His colleague J.A. Dohm, in a tribute in the issue, said of Martin-Leep, "We will never forget Dr. Richard Martin Leep. He was a brilliant man and a marvelous human being."
