The new Man of Steel trailer is setting the Internet on fire with kudos for its classic feel and big movie spirit.  It digests the Superman origin story, along with a taste of the conflict in the film.

The Man of Steel origin story has elements drawn from Mark Waid and Leinil Francis Yu’s Superman: Birthright limited series.  Waid tweeted, "New Superman trailer?  I am OVER THE MOON.  Goyer used Birthright’s 'The 'S' Stands for Hope.'  I am EUPHORIC."  He followed it up with, "Also?  The line about 'You're the answer to the question 'Are we alone in the universe' also directly from BR.  VERY chuffed."

The video is flowing faster now; the first TV spot was just launched (see "First 'Man of Steel' Spot").  The film opens June 14th.
