
Smart Pop Books will release The Munchkin Book: Read the Essays * (Ab)use the Rules * Win the Game, a collection of essays about the hit game, in November. Edited by James Lowder, the 288-page, 5-1/2” x 8-1/4” trade paperback will include essays by designer Steve Jackson, artist John Kovalic, Steve Jackson COO Philip Reed, Munchkin brand manager Andrew Hackard; geek culture mavens Dave Banks (Wired GeekDad), Bonnie Burton (Girls Against Girls), David Ewalt (Forbes), Jennifer Steen (Jennisodes), and Rob Wieland (Onion AV Club); authors Elaine Cunningham and Matt Forbeck: game designers Monica Valentinelli and John Wick; author/comedian Joseph Scrimshaw, and Spartacus star Liam McIntyre.
Famed game designer and author Ed Greenwood is contributing the foreword.
Game-legal rules are included for each essay.
