Hero Games and Guardians of Order jointly announced plans to publish a shared-universe crossover adventure for their leading superhero role-playing games, Champions and Silver Age Sentinels.  Entitled Reality Storm: When Worlds Collide, the crossover will debut at this summer's GenCon Game Fair  (24-27 July) in Indianapolis.  The adventure depicts a world-shattering apocalypse brought on when arch-villains Dr. Destroyer and Kreuzritter team-up and the heroes from Champions' Millenium City and Silver Age Sentinels' Empire City have to put aside their differences and work together to defeat the new challenge.  Reality Storm will contain detailed conversion notes for the HERO system (Champions) and the Tri-Stat system (Silver Age Sentinels) to assist players switching between games and melding forces from each of the different gaming universes. 

Crossovers have long been a staple of comic book marketing (though detractors often refer to them as 'acts of desperation').  It should be interesting to see if this superhero gaming crossover can generate some additional interest for these two competing superhero game lines.
